Built on the strength of Canadian manufacturers
The Canadian Medical Manufacturers Association (CMMA) is a non-profit industry association representing domestic manufacturers of personal protective equipment (PPE), medical devices, and surgical supplies. We were founded because global supply chains failed when Canada needed them most. During the COVID-19 pandemic, hospitals faced critical shortages of masks, gowns, and essential medical products. Canadian manufacturers stepped up to fill the gap, demonstrating the vital importance of domestic production capacity. The CMMA brings together these manufacturers to build a medical manufacturing ecosystem that serves Canadian hospitals and protects our national health security. We advocate for policies that support domestic manufacturing, connect members with procurement opportunities, and certify Canadian-made medical products through our Canada First certification program.
